Sangeet Sandhya

                          x
Tempting smell of fresh-prepared besan laddus everywhere in the house, wedding songs like ‘mehendi sajake rakhna’ playing in background, Ankita dancing in her own hatke style in main hall ..sonika busy with her make-up…aashima preparing welcome drink….manisha busy in making delicious coconut laddus…and I….oh I don’t remember what exactly I was doing..let it be J….but this was kind of mahol in our 131 house….occassion? Sangeet for Priyanka-Pooja-Bhawna wedding !

We all were super-duper enthu in organizing this program and making 23rd Jan evening, one of the most memorable ones…

Whole of Saturday, we danced…for our big performance on next day…of which Ankita was choreographer, manisha and I – freshers J so we were trying to learn each step from anku and sonika…sonika is born dancer..she doesn’t need to learn anyways …it was fun during those practice sessions as well.

At about 6pm, we were all set to welcome our guests …Hemal, our friends at 61 house and  21 house…
All of us were decked up in Indian traditionals…we were even done with our initial photo session in all possible combinations, solo pics, group pics, complete family pic also J

And then, guests started arriving, they were welcomed with Tilak ….and then special welcome drink(obviously non-alcoholic)….sonika ke raaj me daru mana hai ! ..
Everyone was so much surprised as they might not have expected that kind of atmosphere at our house..Ratish pappa was amused after seeing our clean, chamkta hua ghar

Real dance eve started up with Hemal’s garba and in 10 mins everyone was on the floor….thanks to my brand new Vaio pc and its ‘loud’ speakers ;-) … they were equally good as 61 house woofers… hehe…we all danced on the beats of all shaadi songs … as Ankita had already declared… ‘Sirf shaadi wale gaane bajenege bhai!’

Some of injured volleyball players became photographers…and sum still danced, they couldn’t resist….after typical wedding songs..pawanji just took control of my laptop…and we danced on all kind of songs….be it “bhootni ke” or “a ante amlapuram” or “dhagala lagli kal”….we danced so much, that ppl were sweating in 3-4 degress also..

And then…it was time for most awaited performance….”Mehendi hai rachnewali” by 4 of us from 131…everyone seemed to be surprised ..as we had prepared on full song…all of our friends had set up the cameras to record …and we too had fun….dancing and attending so many cameras J

Although whole program created superb Indian traditional atmosphere, we had ordered Pizzas for dinner J, ab kya kare, hamari pooja-priyanka ko Pizza hi pasand hai.. ;-)
We all had garama garam pizzas with tasty garlic breads ….anyways when u r eating with your best friends, menu does not really matter…when its full of chit-chats, gossips, pulling each other’s legs...food becomes tastier !

After dinner program, it was time for gift distribution…gifts? Aashima was back from her Cape town trip, the same day J and so sweet of her, she got everyone nice gifts…South Africa ki yaadein…she is just too good in filling happiness in the air by such small acts !

Now, it was time to say bye bye…par kya kare..kisko joote hi nahi mil rahe the ! Shaadi hai yaar….jootonke paise to bante hain J it was real fun….bargaining and settling with some amt…dulha-dulhan waha india me…and hum yaha lage pade the…..just to make this program as real wedding function…Somehow, after a lot of zagdas, we returned their shoes…and allowed them o take leave…

It was a great time….with great friends…to celebrate most happy day of our 3 lovely friends..who are miles away from us physically….but have reserved lifetime place in everyone’s heart…
